Assessment Lesson: Ensuring the Right Student-Teacher Fit
For a limited time, we offer each student an Assessment Lesson.
Not every student-teacher pairing is the right match.
The Assessment Lesson is my way of ensuring that I work with students who are the best fit for my teaching style, expectations, and expertise. It’s not just about whether the student wants to learn from me—it’s also about whether I feel confident that I can help them succeed.
What is an Assessment Lesson?
This is a one-time, introductory lesson where I assess whether a student is the right fit for my teaching approach. During this session, I observe:
• The student’s learning style and attitude.
• Their skill level and goals.
• Their level of engagement and willingness to learn.
This allows me to determine whether I can provide the right support for the student and whether we’ll work well together. If I feel it’s a good fit, I will offer the option to continue lessons. If not, I may suggest other learning paths that better suit their needs.
Why is an Assessment Lesson Important?
I believe that a great learning experience comes from a strong teacher-student connection. This session helps me:
✔ Select Students I Can Best Support – I work with students who are motivated, engaged, and aligned with my teaching style.
✔ Ensure a Positive Learning Dynamic – Not all personalities mesh well, and this lesson helps determine whether we’ll work well together.
✔ Avoid Wasting Time – Instead of committing to long-term lessons that may not be the right fit, this trial session sets clear expectations from the start.
✔ Create a Personalized Learning Experience – If I choose to continue working with a student, I’ll know exactly how to tailor lessons for their success.
Who is This Lesson For?
This session is for students who are interested in learning with me but understand that I also assess whether they meet my criteria for ongoing lessons.
What’s Next?
After the session, I will decide whether I want to continue teaching the student. If I feel it’s a good fit, I will offer a structured learning plan. If not, I will communicate my decision, ensuring the student can explore other options that may be a better match.
If you’re interested in working with me, book an Assessment Lesson today, and let’s see if we’re the right fit!
